At Birdcall and Front Forty, technology saves time by cutting out human interaction


Technology has lengthened our life spans, changed the way we find love and made it possible for us to put virtual flower crowns on our cats. (Thanks, Snapchat!) So it’s about time that it influenced how we order dinner.

Two local restaurants (well, one restaurant and a vending machine) are mechanizing how we order and receive our food. Birdcall, a fast-casual fried chicken sandwich joint, and Front Forty Foods, a futuristic foodie vending machine inside the Stanley Marketplace, will make it so you never again need to have contact with another human being. Perfect for agoraphobes who want a restaurant-quality meal without that pesky eye contact and social interaction.
