Birdcall Hatches a Plan To Move into Whole Foods

The Birdcall invasion of Denver continues with a new location opening at Union Station in mid-November.

Fried chicken sandwiches, salads, milkshakes, breakfast biscuits, beer and wine make the menu of this fast-casual restaurant from chef Jean-Philippe Failyau and Peter Newlin, president of Park Burger.

Colorado Native Foods provides the cage-free chickens that are fed an organic, vegetarian diet. Bonus: Ingredients come from local resources when possible.

Once open, the restaurant plans to feature about 100 seats inside and out, along with a bar with 24 local taps. A breakfast menu kicks off the morning, paired with Denver’s Corvus coffee. The menu includes a variety of all-natural chicken sandwiches with buns from Aspen Bread Co. and local company The Spice Guy’s Southern flair and Nashville hot sizzle, plus salads, milkshakes made with Southern inspiration such as banana cream pie and red velvet cake, and iced tea from local tea maker Teatulia.
